I’ve long been a fan of the gals at 21 C Designs. This talented duo “reimagine” your jewelry to get it out of your drawer and onto your body! Most of us have sentimental pieces languishing (or locked up) that are too good to get rid of but not quite what we want to wear every day. Catherine and Jaime will work with you to develop a design to use your older gems in a fresh, modern way. Their aim is to style your pieces so that you’ll reach for them every day.

I stopped into their adorable atelier the other day to see what they were up to, and was simply wowed by the before and after shots of recent restylings. Even better, they offer parties! Gather a few girlfriends (and their jewelry), and Katherine and Jaime will bring over wine, nibbles, a sketchbook, loupe, and their talent! They’ll provide on-the-spot rough estimates and sketch up new designs.

A myriad of other services are available, too, from appraisals and estate liquidations to valuing and melting precious metals (which can be added to your design cost). While 21 C is not a jewelry store, they do have some consignment on hand, and trays of CZ engagement and wedding bands in all shapes and sizes to help you decide on the perfect forever ring.
