Lace Factory Brunch, Deep River

We don’t know how Andrea Isaacs and her Cloud 9 catering crew pull it all off, but somehow they do...and for over 20 years. We’d been dying to get to their new Sunday Brunch at the Lace Factory, so at 10am sharp on a cloudy Sunday, we headed down a torn up Kirtland Street (it’s worth it!) to Deep River Landing. It was a peaceful morning on the river as the captain polished the Becky Thatcher riverboat for her Sunday run. Madison Lyric Stage Presents Evita

July 14, 15, 16 and 21, 22, 23

Madison Lyric Stage presents Evita by Andrew Lloyd Webber and Tim Rice, at the First Church of Christ, Scientist in Guilford. Set in the glamorous and turbulent Buenos Aires of the 1940s and 50s, Evita follows the controversial life of Eva Peron, the wife of Argentine president Juan Peron.

A pre-show, Argentine-inspired buffet supper will be held in a specially created “dining room” inside the Guilford Savings Bank branch, a few doors down from the church. Dinners will begin at 6:30, and then guests will be escorted to the theater.

All shows start at 8:00 p.m. Tickets for Evita are $30. Add the supper for an additional $30. Reserve by visiting www.madisonlyricstage.org or call 203-779-5258.
